Young Adults’ Retreat
Over Christmas break, come join us to focus on God as we start the new year! It will be a lot of fun and really encouraging as we spend time in God’s word and with friends.
Dates: January 2-4, 2026
– Check in is Friday evening from 7:00 to 7:20pm
– We will wrap up the retreat Sunday morning at 11am
Cost:
$80 for one or two days
$100 for three days
For anyone 18-38 years old! College or career, hitched or not, all are welcome!
Who: Pre-schoolers and their moms

What: Getting the wiggles out with fun things in the camp gym, snack, Bible story, and fellowship. Bring trikes and toy cars to ride around on!

Spring 2026
Spring Snow and Blue Goose Hunting Camp
Dates: February – May
Call the camp to check dates and set up a hunt.
You may schedule as many days as you want to hunt. Includes food, housing, wrapping and freezing birds. Enjoy cornfield hunting over 300+ decoys. Limits are 20 geese per day.
Women’s Retreat
Dates: April 10-12, 2026 (You may come 2 or 3 days)
Doors open: Friday 1:30 pm for those who want a head start on relaxing in the quiet.
Check-in: Begins at 5:00 pm and supper is served at 6:00 pm
Ends: Sunday 11:00 am
Cost: $120 per person for three days or $100 per person for two days,
For: Women 18 and older
Come enjoy… a relaxing weekend of spiritual challenge and spending time with friends! We have many optional workshops and activities like a tea party movies, make and take cards, games, gym games, painting, and much more! There is also yummy food on the menu! If you would like, please bring your own project that you would like to work on, but we have a full weekend of optional activities planned for you!
Speaker: Katie Stacey
Katie Stacey is originally from Carpenter, South Dakota (where her dad pastored at Prairie Bible Church!) and currently lives in central Minnesota. She enjoys an abundant life, investing her time at her church, flower farming, and officiating wrestling. She is working on a PhD in Practical Theology and is passionate about helping people experience the joy of knowing who God really is and who he has made them to be! She believes in the beauty and the power of the Bible and is excited to share God’s story and mission at this retreat.

*Boys must be accompanied by their father or mentor.

Summer 2026
Work Camp
Ages: 14 and older
Dates: May 26-29, 2026
– Begins: Tuesday 9:30 am
– Ends: Friday 2:00 pm
Cost: $50.00 per person (includes meals and recreation) or free if you write a letter to people to sponsor you.
Come to camp to work, have fun and be spiritually challenged. Also spend time with friends. Enjoy improving the camp and setting up for summer programs. Experience various fun camp activities.
Counselor/Staff Orientation and Training
Age: 16 and up (training is required for all counselors serving this year)
Dates: May 29-30, 2026
– Begins: Friday 6:30 pm (eat before you come)
– Ends: Saturday 7:00 pm
Join others to learn about counseling and develop skills in camp ministry. You will gain insight on Biblical leadership and receive training to help you be a better instrument of God.

First Adventure Day Camp
Ages: 6 to 8 or completed Kindergarten – 2nd grade
Dates: July 7-9, 2026
Tuesday – Thursday from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm each day
Early Bird Cost: $50.00 per camper (if camp registration is paid in full by June 22nd at midnight)
Cost after June 22nd: $60.00 per camper
Transportation is provided from James Valley Christian School in Huron at 9:00 a.m. and returning at 4:00 p.m. Enjoy Bible stories, singing, group games, crafts and water games.
Backpacking Trip
Enjoy backpacking, being with friends, spending time with God in the outdoors, cooking, exploring, and fishing the mountains! Come see the breath-taking mountains and wonders of God. Bring a backpack if you can.
Ages: 14 and up
Dates: July 17-22, 2026
– Begins: Friday 7:00 pm
– Ends: Wednesday Afternoon
Cost: $400 (In addition, backpackers are responsible for paying for their meals while traveling, which is 4-5 meals. Meals packed for the trail are included in the registration cost).

Byron Bible Camp is hosting a wrestling camp for ages 8-18! Our vision is to grow wrestler’s expertise in wrestling and to encourage them to depend on God in the highs and lows of wrestling. We are looking forward to helping kids and teens learn new skills, be challenged by God’s word, and have fun off the mat with activities at camp like, climbing wall, archery, air rifles, canoeing, giant swing, zip line and team competitions, campfires, much more!

Mother, Daughter, and Grandma Retreat
Mothers and daughters of all ages come join us to study
God’s word and have fun together!
Activities: worship, crafts, games, climbing wall, volleyball, a tea party, and more!
Dates: Friday and Saturday, October 10-11, 2025
For: Mothers, daughters, and grandmothers (grades 3rd and up). If you don’t have a relative that you can bring, don’t let that stop you from joining the fun. Consider bringing someone that you can mentor or has mentored you.
Time: Check-in is 5:30 pm on Friday and ends at 4:00 pm on Saturday
Cost: $60 per person

Deb will be sharing about sheep, and we are looking forward to how we will learn about our Great Shepherd through her stories and insights.
“Hi, I’m Deb Hetle. I presently live in Sioux Falls, having moved from near Cavour in 2020, with my husband Paul. We were blessed with a son, two daughters and now seven grandkids. When we aren’t watching our grandsons play sports, I enjoy camping, fishing, gardening, and anything music.
I grew up on a farm south of Huron. It was there that I was first introduced to the world of sheep. I attended Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, NE, where I met Paul and married. In 1987 we bought a small farm near Cavour. There our children grew up, and together we began our 22-year journey with sheep.
Over these years many animals came and went. Some I remember, many I do not. But as I simultaneously grew in my relationship with and love for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the references to sheep I read in the Bible and our day-to-day encounters with our wooly friends collided. My family’s eyes were opened to understand why God calls us His “sheep” and the deep sacrificial love and compassion surrounding that relationship between the Good Shepherd and His sheep. I journaled many of these insights, and especially the story of one very special lamb. It will be a joy to share them with you. I pray that, through the stories of these amazing animals, hearts may be drawn to the Good Shepherd who gave His life for His sheep.”

Pheasant Hunting at Byron Bible Camp
Details about Hunting Dates:
– Call to schedule dates with Jon Duba at 605-352-7267 or fill out our request form
– We offer guided pheasant hunts in October and November
– Hunting Dates are reserved with a $100 deposit
Includes: food, housing, transportation while hunting, wrapping and freezing birds.
Details: Must wear orange and eye protection. Each day everyone joins together to clean the birds. The pheasants are equally divided among all hunters each day. You are welcome to come as many days as you wish. We hunt all wild birds. We are unable to guarantee limits. We hunt on land where farmers have given Byron Bible Camp permission to hunt.

All young adults are invited to join us once a month for fun activities, worship and prayer here at Byron Bible Camp. It’s free and we would love for you to bring friends! We start playing games at 7 pm and then begin worship and prayer at 8 pm. If you aren’t a huge fan of that night’s activity, you should still come, there will be other things to do and people to chat with!
